Use your barcode/neoreader to download
My first review was on the new Xperia mini Pro which I gave Sony credit for the battery life that has improved when I compared it to it's predecessor the X10 mini pro. I downloaded and used the app Battery Indicator Pro. After using the Xperia for 3-4 days with fully charing and discharging, it lasted, according to Indicator Pro, 1 day and 19 hours. I removed my charger just before I went to sleep so maybe it wasn't a quite fair measure. Anyhow 1 day and 19 hours are the figures I'm going to compare with the Juice Defender.
The good
It actually works! I disconnected my charger when it was fully loaded at Friday 19:00 (7 PM) and was discharged at Sunday 20:55 (8:55 PM). Thats 50 hours of power!!! During this time I used it moderate similiar to the first battery test I did without the Juice Defender.
Customize. You can customize how Juice should act. Choose which services should be on or off. There are some default settings such as balanced, aggressive, extreme and advanced that you can use if you don't want to customize. I used balanced. According to the Juice app my battery gets 78% more of usage.
Log. Everything what Juice is doing shows in a log. You'll get a better overview how it works.
No disturbance. All my settings and apps works perfectly fine when I unlock my phone. The app seems to kill services and apps when I lock the screen.
It's free. There are however two more versions of the app. Ultimate and Plus. In these two versions to will be able to adjust more settings and get more control how you want the app to work.
The Bad
The GUI is a bit dull. Looks kinda a silly.
The log. It's quite limited. Seems like you can only see what has happend during the present day and not previous days.
Conclusion
A Superapp!! I didn't think it would work so well as it did. I actually got at least 8 more hours of Juice. I have read several forums threads how to tweak your droid phone to madness to get more power. You won't need that anymore, just get the app and it will do it for you.
Score 9 out of 10
