I stumbled upon on Zombie Gunship the other day and being the Zombie Geek I am, I had to buy it. Zombie Gunship is a kind of a tower defense game. You use at a gunship and try to blast zombies from the sky before reaching your base. If you remember the first Call of duty : Modern warfare game, there was a mission that you had to use a gunship to take out enemies from the sky, which is very similar to what you do in Zombie Gunship. Here are my thoughts.
The good
The idea. I just loved the gunship mission in Modern Warfare so this was a nice surprise when I started playing Zombie Gunship. So the idea of making a game purely using a gunship is great!
Upgrades. You have loads of different upgrades you can choose between, for instance upgrading your cannons. You will earn a certain amount of money when killing zombies and completing missions and with this money you upgrade.
The sound. The different cannons sound great when being fired as well as the radio messages you'll get from your colleagues on the ground. It feels like the real deal.
The challenge. I gets harder and harder. So you are very dependent on your upgrades. Choose them wisely.
The price. 0.99$ or 7SEK.
The bad
The maps. Or should I say the map. Only one map is included in Zombie Gunship. You'll get a bit bored playing the same map over and over again.
The graphics. Zombie Gunship doesn't look that great. Ok the general idea with the game is to use our black and white radar to shoot zombies. But it sometimes could look a bit nicer if you compare it to Modern warfare.
The missions. Some variations of the missions would be nice. There's only one mission. Save civilians heading for the bunker.
Conclusion
If you are into various types of tower defense games, I would recommend Zombie Gunship. It gets quite addictive when blasting the zombies for more money to use on upgrades. However with only one map and doing the same mission over and over again it will get a bit boring in the long run. Hopefully an upgrade will improve this game.
