Infinity Blade II is a game where you can explore beautiful and immersive environments that dynamically change over time during your travels and venture to exotic locations using the Unreal Engine 3. You can choose from multiple classes of weapons, armor and spells, each with specialized capabilities such as Dual Wielding, Two-Handed and the standard Weapon & Shield class. Learn each discipline by using Infinity Blade II’s intuitive pick-up and play game play style that is easy to use, yet difficult to master!
It has been talk about Infinity Blade II lately but does it live up to it's hype? Here are my thoughts:
The Good
The graphics. Absolutely gorgeous graphics. I have never seen such incredible graphics on any portable device. Simply the best out there.
The gameplay. It feels great. You can compare it to Fruit Ninja when slicing with your finger using different combos and moves.
Leveling up. Being the XP junkie that I am, I love games where you level up. Infinity Blade II has a great system for it. You will level up in different skills and the base of your character.
The moves. Through out the game you will learn different moves, techniques and defense. A tutorial will teach you how to use them wisely.
The music and sounds. Incredible soundtrack combined with stunning FX sounds through out the game.
The challenge. It will get harder and harder to conquer your enemies as well as learning all the moves and techniques.
The Bad
Lag. I did experience some lag sometimes. Kinda strange while I'm on the 4S which should work fine. However a new update has been released so this problem might have been solved. iPhone 4 user also report of them having a bit of a lag despite the new update.
The price. $6.99 or 49SEK that's to much for any mobile phone game.
Conclusion
With no doubt Infinity Blade II is the best looking mobile game out there. It's a pure joy playing this game with such fine graphics. I really really recommend this game because I think the gaming on iPhone have reached a milestone. With this game iPhone is a serious contender to all portable gaming devices. Infinity Blade II must be the first game that's challenging the iPhone 4S hardware with it's improved graphic chip and CPU. The only thing I'm not giving it a perfect score is that to many people are having issues playing it with lag and crashes.
Score 9 out of 10
