Review : Top 5 Games of 2011 part 5

So finally the 1st place on my Top 5 games of 2011 is a game that made a wonderful comeback. To be honest I had my doubts this would be as good as the 2000 release that pretty much revolutionized the world. With no doubt Deus Ex lived up to it's hype and therefore it's the best game of 2011.

Rich and deeply imagined RPG immersion combines with realistic first-person combat to drag you into the future as you battle the thugs, special operations soldiers and robots who threaten your journey — and your life. An arsenal of more than 20 weapons and opportunities to enhance your character empower your struggle, but beware — every decision you make has consequences that affect the entire human race.

The Good

The Music. I think the music of Deus Ex must be one of the best soundtrack ever made for a game. (see the clip down below)

The Gameplay. I just love the gameplay of Deus EX. Trying to sneak in FPS can be a bit tricky but Deus has solved this problem with a cover system similiar to the Gears of war series. There are a lot of sneaking in the game so the cover system will be of great use.

The Story. Deus EX Human Revolution has a very intriguing story. Even all the side quests will excite you and must be completed.

The Weapons and Aug system. There are a perfect amount of weapons to choose from. Not too many or too few. There are augmentations you can level up which will be put in good use during the game.

The world of Deus EX. It isn't too large neither too small. It's simply perfect. You won't get bored travelling to different  places and the environment looks great.

The missions. As I mentioned above the story through all the missions is just awesome. All the missions including side mission has a lot of content and vary's a lot which I think is really important in a game. You'll never get bored doing the same thing over and over again.

The Bad

Not much to say here other then Adam Jensen (main character) voice acting. He sound like Batman having a cold.

Conclusion

I had a super time playing Deus Ex Human Revolution.  I never wanted it to end. As I mentioned earlier I had my doubts of them making a third game of the series especially considiring how bad Deus Ex Invisble Wars was. However Eidos really did a good job and restored Deus Ex honor by developing the best game of 2011..... well done!!!
